The San Fernando Pastoral Region celebrates the feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila. San Lorenzo Ruiz is the first Filipino saint. This joyous occasion will be held at Our Lady of Peace Parish in North Hills,with Rev. Bishop Gerald Wilkerson, auxiliary bishop emeritus, as the principal celebrant. The Faith, Hope and Charity Catholic Cancer Ministry hosts its 14th Annual "Pray for a Cure Cancer Mass" at the cathedral. In recognition of the dedicated work of Catholic healthcare professionals, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and Mission Doctors Association invites all Catholic physicians and medical personnel to the celebration of a White Mass at the cathedral. The White Mass is a special celebration to acknowledge the unique contributions made by all Catholic healthcare professionals, and takes its name from the white coat most commonly worn by those in the medical field.

The cathedral's weekly Wednesday organ recital featured organist Weicheng Zhao, together with the Oakwood Brass Chamber Ensemble, for an uplifting performance. At the invitation of Jean Guillou, Zhao played a solo recital in Paris at the Saint-Eustache Festival d'orgue 2011.
