Dear friends,
As you have no doubt heard, the city of Los Angeles has given houses of worship approval to reopen — with safety measures in place.
On Tuesday night (May 26), the archdiocese released guidelines for churches to reopen. You can read the article from Angelus here, which includes comments from Archbishop Gomez: www.angelusnews.com/local/la-catholics/catholic-churches-in-archdiocese-of-la-to-reopen-under-phased-plan.
As soon as we have safety measures approved by our regional auxiliary bishop, we will reopen.
The time and date to reopen St. Bernard will be announced on our website, and Facebook and Twitter accounts. Our safety measures will also be outlined.
(We will also tell you what facilities, in addition to the church, will open.)
If you have any questions, write them in the comments below. We will do our best to answer.
God willing, we will be together again soon!
