When the will of God is realized, we will see harmony, synchronicity, wholeness

A reflection on the daily readings by Father Perry.
In the prayer of Jesus, the Our Father, there is an idea that is spoken: “Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
It is exquisite because it contextualizes beautifully the reality of universal harmony.
When the will of God is being realized we will always see that there is harmony, synchronicity, and wholeness.
In the “heavens” — that place of spiritual fullness and harmony — that will of God is perfectly realized because it is the fullness of God, the fullness of light, the fullness of love.
Our concept of heaven is that, in heaven, we are in the presence of God; in scriptural language we are told that we will “see Him as He is.”
(The fact that we always say “he” is as limiting as saying a place — “heaven” — but that is all we can do with the limits of language).
In any case, the harmony, synchronicity and wholeness of that will is completely satisfying to us when we live that will here on earth, in our lives, and in the present.
We do best when we “live in love,” because God is Love — and wherever there is love, there is God.
And John tells us: “If we ask [God] anything according to his will, he hears us.”
Then we are in harmony, in sync, and enjoying the wholeness of God.
+ John the Baptist describes the pure delight of all of the above, realized in the person of Jesus the Christ. He says, “I am not He.”
He says, “I have come to testify to the light — I am not the light.”
But in today’s Gospel, he so humbly and directly — and with total appreciation for the Christ — says: “This joy of mine has been made complete. He must increase; I must decrease.”
+ And in that, John describes perfectly the will of God in heaven as in earth and its harmony, its synchronicity, and its wholeness!
