For the gift to grow, it must be given and received

A reflection on the daily readings by Father Perry for Friday of the Third Week in Ordinary Time.
Oh, do not get me wrong; we have choices to make so that the light becomes brighter and the tree becomes larger and the seed produces 30 percent, 60 percent, 100 percent.
We are important in the mix. We are just not the most important.
Ours is one of cooperation and saying yes. Our yes is vital, but we should never mistake it for the gift itself.
The gift is given and received and then brings blessing upon blessing.
