The explosion has taken place. The long-awaited savior is and has been born.
Justice, peace, and salvation have come! The world is and never can be the same!
+ It is as if the church is afraid that people will come to the feast of Christmas and will experience it so quickly that they will, in effect, miss it.
It will fail to take root in us and fail to transform us — even after all of the warnings like “Be alert, “Stay awake,” and “Rejoice,” “Listen,” and “Don’t miss” the eternal, divine, salvific, and long-awaited messiah moment of all time.
+ Today’s readings are like a “spoiler alert” — “See what is coming and be ready.”
