The mission of the 12 is ours, should you choose to accept it

A reflection on the daily readings by Father Perry.
Hebrews sets the record straight — in Christ, you have finally arrived.
You have finally gotten to the most important nugget of truth. You have finally received the fullness of the message and promise from ages ago; the mediator of the new covenant and the everlasting covenant and the covenant of truth.
Christ fulfills all! Christ is all in all! The psalm simply and eloquently echoes all those truths from sea to shining sea, reaching unto the ends of the earth!
This is all glory, praise, and fulfillment!
But the Gospel points to the work ahead to proclaim this truth, to invite anyone and everyone to come to know this truth; to discover the cost to be disciples of this truth, and to offer a sharing in the power, grace, spirit, energy, and truth that abounds in hearing of Christ, learning of Christ, growing in Christ, and living in Christ.
The mission began for the 12 and their lives would never be the same.
The mission has been given to us, and there is no limit to the power, grace, spirit, energy, and truth that abounds for us.
Our lives, too, are promised to never be the same, but rather to be more and more each and every day.
