The stage is set for a big showdown! An argument is arising with great force — all must be circumcised.
This surely was a big thing in the Mosaic code. But, Paul wisely said he would have to consult; and it seems to all that Peter was the one they had to report to and seek advice.
And so off to Jerusalem they went. Later, we will get the results in a most interesting way.
But first, one special detail.
As they passed through town after town, they noted and told everyone about the large number of Gentiles who were believing. All were thrilled. And this, no doubt, is an important detail in and through the Acts of the Apostles that was about to change the history of the growth of the church.
And interestingly, in a similar vein, Jesus is telling his disciples that in order to bear fruitfulness, they had to stay connectedto him.
