Grand Marian procession and votive Mass celebrate Our Lady of the Angels

In early September of 1781, a band of settlers founded their new town: El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora de Los Angeles.
Since then, Angelenos have sought the aid and protection of the Blessed Mother for what has become a great, yet often challenged, city.
On Aug. 25 a votive Mass at the cathedral and grand Marian procession through downtown Los Angeles will be held to celebrate the feast of Our Lady of the Angels, to aid and protect our city and county which all bear Our Lady’s name.
