Fourth annual Regional Apostolic Congress on Mercy focuses on sanctification, salvation

The San Pedro Pastoral Region sponsors the fourth annual Regional Apostolic Congress on Mercy, “The Divine Mercy: The Path to Sanctification … to Salvation.
Speakers include Father Bill Casey, F.O.M., and Father Chris Alar, M.I.C.
Father Casey is a former U.S. Army officer. He entered the Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy and studied philosophy at Christendom College and theology at Holy Apostles Seminary. After being ordained to the priesthood in 1991, he has spoken at many events on the Divine Mercy of God, among other topics.
Father Chris Alar, M.I.C.
Father Alar entered the Marian Fathers in 2006, where he earned his master’s of divinity degree from Holy Apostles Seminary in Connecticut. He currently serves as “Father Joseph, M.I.C.,” the director of the Association of Marian Helpers, and is the head of Marian Press, in Stockbridge, Mass., home of the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy.
Mass celebrant is Bishop Joseph V. Brennan.
Bishop Brennan is the episcopal vicar of the San Fernando Pastoral Region, one of the five pastoral regions in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He was appointed in 2015.
Admission is $15, which includes lunch and Divine Mercy materials.
